Before starting Virtuwell Balance I was running my own health and wellness business as a registered holistic nutritionist and yoga teacher. I was working 1:1 with clients, running online group programs, designed my own recipe books, and hosted yoga retreats abroad. If not, you have 2 options: DIY a logo, colour pallet, & fonts using canva, OR you can work 1:1 with the VB Brand Stylist to create a consistent, high quality and professional brand that attracts your ideal clients/customers. PREPARATION MATERIALS

It’s always hard to start on a blank piece of paper. That’s why we’ve created a guided content planning document to help you create the copy for each of your website pages with prompts that help you speak to your ideal clients. The VB Content Specialist will provide feedback on your copy including proofreading and editing. HUGE BONUS!!

Wix is a fully customizable website design platform with an extremely user-friendly interface. With Wix, you will easily be able to make updates and changes to your own website without having to hire a designer. What platform do you use for the website?WIX!! We have designed hundreds of websites using Wix and I've been working with them since 2015. I've also designed websites on Wordpress, Squarepress, Showit, etc... and Wix is by far my absolute favourite platform and most user friendly interface. You'll also be able to use the built in free features like email marketing and invoicing your clients - all from the same platform! Check out this blog post for more details about WIX.

What are the prices like for hosting and domain?When you first launch your site Wix will give you a free domain for one year (yay!), after that the yearly prices are between $9 and $20 USD. You can find the price details for hosting HERE depending on what plan you need. Most of our clients use the Combo plan if they are just getting started in business. *If you're wondering what hosting is, it's a monthly/yearly fee every website has to pay no matter the platform. It's essentially the cost to have your website on the internet! ​ *If you're wondering what a domain is, that's your website address!

How do I know if the domain I want is available?You can check right HERE! If you already have a domain we can transfer it to Wix.

What if I don't have a logo or branding?Branding is mandatory before we start designing your website. It's very difficult to create a site that sells if you don't have your brand identity established first, so you have two options: 1) You can work 1:1 with our brand stylist to create a stand-out brand identity that reflects your business mission and values. 2) If you want to DIY your own logo, colour pallet, and fonts you can do so with Canva and submit your branding for review before we begin the website design.

Can I get an email address that matches my website domain name?Yes! After we launch your new site, you can purchase an email address to match your website domain right from your Wix dashboard. It's very easy to do and you will be guided through the set-up process on Wix.

How does the personalized Wix tutorial work? And can it be saved/recorded?Absolutely! You will always have access to watch the video again later and you can always reach out with extra questions that you might have - I'm happy to record more training videos if needed. We can do the tutorial together live on Zoom or I can record a training for you and upload the video to our shared Google Drive. I usually cover things like: dashboard overview, how to edit your website settings, sending branded invoices through your site, how to make website content changes, how to create blog posts, etc.

Any other website costs I should be aware of?Just the price of my services, the price of your yearly Wix platform (most of our clients use the combo plan (Wix Pricing Info), the price of your domain hosting (around $20 USD per year), and the price of your professional email (if you choose to do that).

Given your timelines, what specific things should I have in place before we begin?"We are going to help you with all of the website copy, so the only thing you might want to have ready is your professional photos. I would suggest having at least 4-6 photos of yourself. They don't all need to be professional, as long as they are clean and bright - nothing blurry or fuzzy :) If you have any freebie downloads for email marketing, or digital products for sale, you might want to have those ready as well so we don't hold up the process.

Do you have some stock images I can pick from for extra photos on the site, or do I need to purchase these separately?"You shouldn't need to purchase any photos unless you want to. If we need to use a few stock images on your site we usually get them from these two websites and they are free to use: https://unsplash.com/https://pixabay.com/ You can feel free to browse those websites and provide us with some images that you like and we can incorporate them onto your site.

Once the branding is complete, how will I know what files to use?"We will provide you with a file reference sheet and this explains what all of the different branding files are for and where to use them. You can always contact us if you have more questions :)

What is included with the branding package?You will walk away with a high quality and consistent brand identity that reflects the value of your business :) You will receive a mood board, colour pallet, main logo, secondary logo, and 2-3 custom fonts. You will have access to all of the branding files through a shared google drive and are encouraged to use across all of your marketing. More details HERE. We also have an add-on package for branded social media graphics such as banners and post templates.

What is the timeline for branding?We usually have everything done within 3-4 weeks.

What does SEO stand for?The acronym stands for Search Engine Optimization.

What exactly is SEO?SEO is a part of digital marketing that focuses on optimizing multiple factors on your website to rank organically on search engines such as Google. Search Engine Optimization is considered a long-term digital marketing strategy and works to increase good quality website traffic over time.

What does it mean to have an SEO optimized website?This means that we have optimized your website in terms of structure, content, and navigation. If you are one of our website clients and we’re building your website from scratch, it means that we’re ensuring there should be no known ranking factors holding you back from ranking well with Search Engines.
