Hosted in the beautiful colonial town of Antigua Guatemala, this retreat will have a strong focus on your personal well-being, with a mix of relaxation and adventure. We're focused on helping entrepreneurs like YOU create more balance in your life and business so that you can make a greater impact in your community.

Before starting Virtuwell Balance, I was running my health and wellness business as a registered holistic nutritionist and yoga teacher. I was working 1:1 with clients, running online group programs, designed my own recipe books, and hosted yoga retreats abroad. I built my own website, ran email marketing campaigns, grew a loyal social media following, and sold out my first yoga retreat in Nicaragua. I learned A LOT along the way about how to create a successful fully remote business and maintain balance in my life.
After building and leveraging my own platforms to grow my revenue and increase my impact, I realized I also had a passion for design and marketing - this is how Virtuwell Balance was born!
I now combine my skills and experience, with the help of the VB team, to support other entrepreneurs with growing their revenue and increasing their impact (while maintaining work/life balance).

The Inspiration for these Retreats...
After 4 years of working in the design and marketing industry with hundreds of businesses, I've noticed a common theme among ambitious and heart-led entrepreneurs...
They give, give, give, without taking enough time to fill their own cup.
When you are passionate about what you do and you love your work, it's easy to forget to take a break and slow down. But it's necessary, not only for you, but for your business and your clients/customers as well. When you feel your best you can produce your best work and create a greater impact in your community.
THAT is the idea behind Virtuwell Balance retreats :)
RETREAT DETAILS
WHEN AND WHERE
Antigua, Guatemala! Antigua is a 480 year old town and a UNESCO world heritage site. It's surrounded by volcanos, full of colonial style buildings, and cobblestone streets.
You will need to fly to GUA (Guatemala city airport) and Antigua is a 45 minute drive depending on traffic when you arrive.
Arrive any time after 11am on Saturday November 4th (I would like to plan a welcome dinner for everyone on this day if we can all arrive before dinner time) and leave any time on Wednesday November 8th (unless you decide to extend your trip longer!)
We have the beautiful Ojala Hotel all to ourselves. Check them out on Instagram. You can choose between a shared dorm room, queen room, or king room (first come first serve).
All transportation within country for activities is included as well as airport pick-up and drop-off (flights not included).
FOOD AND DRINK
Breakfast every morning is provided by our hotel. They serve two options: typico (this is typical Guatemalan breakfast with fried or scrambled eggs, black beans, fried plantains, tortillas, fresh fruit), OR a muesli yogurt bowl (oatmeal granola with yogurt and toppings of grated apple, banana, chia, raisins, macadamia nuts, coconut). Both options include coffee, tea, or juice.
Welcome dinner on the first night and farewell dinner on the last night is provided by Virtuwell Balance. Restaurants for this are to be announced.
All other meals, snacks, and alcohol is not included but we have many great suggestions and tips for restaurants! A few places we will go eat as a group (like the spa) but meals are not included.
Please let us know if you have any special dietary needs/allergies.
ACTIVITIES AND WORKSHOPS
Yoga with Shayah (for all levels) every morning/day on the roof or in the garden at our hotel.
Cultural tour (to be announced) with options like coffee or chocolate farm tour, city walking tour of historical sites, cooking/tortilla class, etc. End our cultural tour at Aqua for an afternoon swim followed by pizza or tacos on their roof with a view of the volcanoes.
Spa day pass at Casa Santa Domingo to walk their beautiful grounds, use their pool, sauna, explore their museum, and option to eat lunch or dinner here. Spa treatments are extra and can be booked in advance.
Brand/business photo shoot at our hotel! Everyone gets 1:1 time with the photographer for new head shots and professional photos to use for their business/career or social media.

RETREAT PRICING OPTIONS
Our pricing is based on the type of room you choose. Prices include: accommodation, daily breakfast, 2 dinners, airport transportation, spa day pass, brand photo shoot, daily yoga, cultural tour (to be announced), business workshops.
Availability is on a first come first serve basis. All prices are CAD.

Ojala dorm rooms are located in the front of the hotel and provide comfort at an affordable cost with luxurious linens, blackout curtains, and brand new shared bathrooms. Great option if you're coming with a few friends, or want to make friends!

Ojala Queen rooms are located in the Garden with tropical garden views. They have modern designs with colonial touches and brand new private bathrooms for each room.

We will host a group Zoom call a month before the retreat so we can all touch base and cover any questions that you might have.
