Lead Magnets, Sales Funnels, Email Marketing... Oh My!

Content marketing coupled with strategic sales funnels has been the single most effective way for online businesses to develop a "know, like, and trust" factor with their audience resulting in more leads and sales (yay!)

Are these two terms new for you?? I'm happy to explain...

CONTENT MARKETING

By definition: "content marketing is a strategic marketing approach focused on creating and distributing valuable, relevant, and consistent content to attract and retain a clearly defined audience — and, ultimately, to drive profitable customer action".

SALES FUNNEL

By definition: "an online sales funnel is a representation of the buyer journey through your company from initial contact to purchasing and beyond. It's strategically designed to meet the potential buyer where they are at, propose a solution to their problem, and ultimately drive profitable customer action".

Integrated with email, this is known as EMAIL MARKETING!

DID YOU KNOW… when a subscriber opens an email in their inbox, it leads to more sales than any other marketing tactic!??

So, if you're not making use of email marketing yet, you should be!

Not even social media, organic SEO, paid advertising, or affiliate marketing is proven to have the same results or benefits as email marketing.

But what is email marketing exactly?

At its most basic level, email marketing happens when a business owner uses email to send information about their products and services, but a truer definition goes beyond that.

Email marketing is the best way for business owners to build relationships with their audience. Like I mentioned above, email marketing has proven to be a more powerful form of communication than social media or even paid advertising.

It’s a direct line of contact between a business owner (you) and an email subscriber (your audience/customers). Nothing stands between the two of you (like those annoying algorithms) making it a very effective way to build your business and increase your conversions.

Okay, so how do you build a strong email list of subscribers who want to buy from you?

People only buy products and services from people they can trust... but before you can build trust, you need to provide real value to your subscribers.

One of the best ways to do this is by sending several educational emails in a welcome email sequence before you introduce a product you’re selling. It will show your audience that you care more about nurturing your relationship and establishing a good rapport with them than just sales alone.

If you only send promotional emails, you may turn off your subscribers since you haven’t taken the time to nurture the relationship. Instead, you’ll want to lead with your actionable, valuable, and educational content.

Once you’ve been providing relevant, valuable content to your audience and educating them on topics that relate to your niche, your audience will be primed the next time you decide to launch something new!

Launching a new product or service?

Email marketing is especially valuable when you are launching a new product or service. Sometimes launch announcements can get lost in your follower’s social media feed or controlled by the algorithm. It’s much better to send a launch-based email that will be sent directly to your subscriber’s inbox so they won’t miss it!

Still confused about how this works? I'll break it down into digestible bits...

1) You have a FREE valuable offer that your ideal client can't resist (also known as a lead magnet).

2) You have a landing page for this free offer where your ideal client can enter their email address and get it sent automatically to their inbox (these ideal clients now become warm leads on your email list).

3) You follow up the next week with a series of VALUE added emails that are automatically sent out. These emails consist of content relevant to their pain points and your proposed solution. You also share a bit of your story in these emails so they can get to know you better - building that "know, like, trust" factor.

4) You announce a paid service, program, or offering that solves their problem, and by this point they are just waiting to buy from you!

5) You on-board a new client and/or make a new sale *pops champagne!

Email marketing should be a crucial part of your overall marketing and sales strategy. It allows you to turn website visitors and social media followers into loyal email subscribers so you can stay in touch with them long term.

Now, let me guess...

You think all this sounds great, and you know that having a valuable lead magnet is the best way to grow your email list, develop hot leads, and launch to an audience who wants to buy from you... BUT, you feel lost in all the digital pieces needed to put the puzzle together. Even if you could figure it out, you know that's not how you want to be spending your time.
